Pauline "Nikki" Singletary
Smokey Mtn. Trucking Institute
Director
Nikki is the director of SMTI. She comes to the school
with a wealth of knowledge about the transportation industry.
Nikki has owned her trucking company for 35+ years and
has been teaching truck driving for more then twenty years.
She teaches Haz-Mat and Per-Trip, logging and trip planning.

Sharon Singletary
ADMISSIONS AND JOB PLACEMENT
Sharon joined the SMTI team in 2005. She handles admissions and job
placement assistance for the Sevierville, Tn. campus. Sharon also enrolls
students who are under 23 years of age and/or have barriers
to employment. She has worked in administration and office
management for twelve years.

Brenda Thompson
Instructor
Brenda has twelve years experience driving over the road. She has been a trainer
and has taught all phases of truck driving for the past 7 years. She
is also a THEC certified instructor/examiner.

Mike Morie
Senior Instructor
Mike has 20+ years of driving experience. He has been
a OTR Trainer and has taught every phase of truck driving.
Mike teaches classroom, field and road. He has been teaching
CDL training for 7 years.

Rusty is an instructor as well as an CDL examiner. (However
if he trains you he will not do your CDL Exam. SMTI has
three CDL Examiners so there is never a conflict of interest). He
has 7 years OTR experience and two years teaching on
the range and road. Rusty is also a DOT Certified Commercial
Vehicle Inspector |

Doug Sturgill
Instructor
Doug has 5 years of OTR truck driving experience. Doug
teaches in the classroom and the backing range..

Bo Phillips
Instructor
Bo is a 15 year veteran OTR trainer. He teaches
all phases of CDL Training. Bo also has 4 years of CDL
training.

Bob Austin
Instructor
Bob has eighteen years OTR driving ten of those years
as a OTR Trainer. Bob teaches field and road.
