This Practice Testing Area is designed to help
you learn the material covered on the Tennessee
CDL written test. You will be able to assess your knowledge in actual test
form. The information can be found in your state booklet, and could differ
from our test. Should the information differ, please use the answer provided
by your state study guide.
The Federal Government set up the guidelines
for the CDL program, then distributed them to each state.
From the Federal guidelines the states would write the CDL
exam. SMTI's tests are very similar to actual test found
on your state exam. Some states decided to use the true and
false testing method, others decided on the multiple choice
testing method, but all guidelines came from the Federal
Government.(Tennessee uses multiple choice).
